Project Description: 20200123Live

 

20200123 Live is an original interview-based performance based on the first-hand experiences of a group of people from Wuhan who have been through fear, discrimination, and loneliness in the 76 days of lockdown. The cast members are from different ages and backgrounds, sharing their stories with grief, tenacity, and hope. The presentation illuminates the daily lives of real Wuhaners with an effort to work toward understanding among Chinese and American audience and healing within the community. The interdisciplinary exploration using theater and dance truthfully present an unprecedented collective trauma through their own eyes, voices and memories.
